The Sports Marketing Coordinator assists in the planning and executing of sports marketing advertising, onsite activation, and sports related events for Torchmark brands. This dynamic individual ensures creative, event specific, attendee experiences. The Sports Marketing Coordinator adjusts event strategies based on feedback and available resources for our various campaigns. This position serves in a support role for all Sports Marketing initiatives and requires flexible hours as demanded by each event and/or campaign.

  • Provides onsite sports marketing support at corporate events. Some nights and weekends required.
  • Coordinates all onsite logistics for signage, group management, and attendee experience.
  • Responsible for planning and preparation of event schedules, group needs, and activities.
  • Proofreads all sports marketing printed and digital materials to ensure partner style guide and copyright guidelines are accurate.
  • Stays informed of trends and offers innovation and solutions to enhance sports marketing efforts.
  • Provides support in clerical capacity for Sports Marketing.

  • Must possess understanding of numerous sports and the advertising opportunities within them.
  • Must have strong project management skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong people skills-Ability to communicate effectively with executive management and third party partners/vendors while maintaining a professional rapport and relationship.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Must be flexible and able to switch focus to different projects when business demands change.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong follow up, attention to detail, and ability to execute projects from conception to completion.
  • Ability to investigate/research information needed for projects and present analysis and solutions to management. Strong proofreading and writing skills are required with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to translate Sports Marketing needs and requirements to graphic designers, content creators, multimedia designers, web designers, SEO analysts, various company departments, and outside vendors.


    Required Experience:

  • Preferred field of study in one of the following: Sports Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Hospitality from four-year college or university.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of professional marketing or event coordination experience in corporate or agency environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
