As the Vice President of Events & Partnerships, you will build and execute an event marketing strategy to help grow Grunt Style’s business and create a game-changing event space. The VP manages a team that executes everything from our Grunt Fest music festivals to third party corporate accounts. Your role as VP of Partnerships will consist of managing account managers to deepen partnerships and ensure that Grunt Style is receiving maximum value from the relationship.
This position is based in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 20 staff members who build and execute event marketing strategies and develop a scalable program, owning it from beginning to end.
Develop the events and partnerships strategy and lead the Event team's goals, inspire team and self in the, planning, marketing, management and execution of private corporate events.
Transform the vision of these events into best in class productions
Overall responsibility for managing both the revenue and cost elements
Work with staff to develop and manage the operating plan and strategic long term plans for several sports partnerships
Inspire others through continuous coaching and performance feedback, meeting routines, on-the-job training and fostering professional development to build an engaged team culture
Leads project scope and strategy including staffing requirements, program plans, budget, oversight over the registration process and collaborating on initiatives to promote the events.
Collaborates with internal teams in support of event/partnerships plans, resource allocation, relaying all pertinent event information to cross-functional partners to relay to their staff in advance of events
Ensure the highest levels of quality, thoughtfulness, and professionalism in all verbal and written communication
Extremely resourceful

Experience Requirements & Qualifications:
10+ years events management and/or hospitality management experience
Ability to travel about 30% and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Data oriented with the ability to define key success metrics
Strong leadership and people management skills a must
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources in developing and/or contributing to strategic initiatives that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
Complex project management experience with the ability to run full campaigns from conception to execution.
Demonstrated experience and ability to think critically while working in a dynamic, high pressure team environment, fostering a sense of urgency and commitment to achieving goals.
High EQ and strong relationship building skills.
