Primary Responsibilities:


  • Drive growth by creating and elevating executive level relationships with PGA leaders in an effort to extend relationships and introductions per the contract with the PGA
  • Establish strong working relationship with Optum partners to help facilitate business development opportunities through introductions, networking, and other activities
  • Develop and execute partner promotional events, sponsorship, hospitality, communication, etc. in coordination with Growth Office and business segments
  • Deliver VIP guest experience, including event communications, coordination of food / beverage and transportation, personal attention to invited guests
  • Identify, cultivate and deepen C - suite and complex client / partner relationships using all sponsorship assets including but not limited to PGA and The Players Championship
  • Create and execute on a multi - year Strategic Plan related to the sport of golf that utilizes all assets within our PGA partnership as well as other unique VIP events


    Required Skills

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in driving deep, productive relationships with C - Suite and senior - level client executives
  • Direct experience with professional golf events, particularly with the professional TOUR
  • Previous business development experience in a promotions / marketing / sales capacity
  • Experience in relationship management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work in a matrix environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Willing and able to travel nationally 30% or more
