As Uber continues to expand its services around the world and build its brand, the Business Development (BD) team is looking for a motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is excited to take Uber’s brand to the next level.


As Head of Brand Partnerships, BD, your job will be to create the strategy for Uber’s brand partnerships, identify the opportunities and close the deals with partners to further Uber’s goals. This is also a highly cross-functional role, as you will coordinate across a number of internal teams including marketing, operations, legal, PR, product and policy.


Externally, at a high level you will cultivate and manage our partnerships and relationships with brands, content partners, agencies and other key stakeholders and develop a consistent strategy to drive Uber as a beloved brand globally.


What You’ll Do


  • Provide strategic guidance. You’ll look at the business overall, Uber’s goals for its brand and help steer the strategy to success metrics.
  • Identify high value opportunities. You’ll use strategic business judgement to identify where the biggest opportunities lie based on reach, brand alignment, and value delivered to our customers.
  • Open doors and close deals. You own the deals. You’ll work with various teams to create and drive agreements to closure, and then manage these key strategic relationships to provide maximum value for both Uber and its partners. You will drive and support key initiatives across our business teams to grow strategic and long term opportunities with our various partners.


    Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development with brands, agencies or media partners.
  • Instinct for deals and partners. You have a proven track record of successfully managing complex, high value partnerships and you’ve cultivated new initiatives from these deals.
  • High throughput. Your strong bias towards action helped you earn the reputation of someone who gets things done. You have high level relationships that know and trust you. You are proactive, love having a lot on your plate and get energy from being busy.
  • An intuition for people. You are comfortable spending the majority of your time working with various internal and external teams, building and really cultivating new relationships with potential and existing partners and within all parts of an organization. You’re self aware and well-spoken in meetings - you’ll humbly be a voice that speaks for Uber.
  • You have passion for the work. You believe in Uber’s mission and enjoy deals in media, music, sports, entertainment and lifestyle.
  • You have the ability to thrive under pressure in an unstructured, fast paced environment, but appreciate the value of process and organization.
