The Samuel Adams Brand & Content Manager - Sport Partnership will be the primary contact for the Red Sox and Samuel Adams partnership responsible for leading and building the strategic and tactical activation, communication, promotional and experiential initiatives that optimize the 8 year partnership that has just commenced between the brand and Fenway Sports / Red Sox.


What You'll Do:


  • Oversee the Red Sox and Boston Beer Partnership and manage the deliverables across the year.
  • Lead the development of all sport marketing collateral and initiatives to optimize the partnership for the brand and the team /Fenway.
  • Develop brief and manages agency participation in content development across sport partnership needs.
  • Liaise with New England sales and marketing team to ensure programming effectively builds appropriate volume and relationships.
  • Oversee company initiatives related to the sport partnership that can extend beyond New England.
  • Measure the effectiveness of programming and optimizes with learnings.
  • Bring insights and ideas to ensure that brand and partnership activation is engaging to fans.
  • Manage the Sport Partnership budget responsibly and efficiently.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to cultivate and hone strong partnership relationships

  • Project Management: Very strong project management skills – able to keep multiple lines of work progressing so that tactics are delivered with world class quality, on time, on budget.
  • Agency Briefing: Ability to write strong, concise briefs that generate desired goals, simply and efficiently
  • Flexible and Unflappable: Extremely agile, able to flex to stakeholder needs/input as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity and very fast-paced need for speed to market

    Required Skills

  • Bachelors Degree required. MBA Preferred.
  • 5-8 years experience of marketing experience, inclusive of:
  • 2+ years of Marketing Manager or similar experience
  • Brand Management experience for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company at the Associate Brand Manager level at least
  • 2+ Specific Sports marketing experience managing relationship with a large property/association
  • Promotional activation development – ideally supporting the sport property relationship
  • Creative campaign participation and development
  • Agency briefing to develop broad marketing campaign across promo / creative levels
  • Work in an environment with distributors/wholesalers and internal sales stakeholders is a plus
  • P&L or budget management experience Innovation and Packaging development a significant plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives
  • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a sports fan with an understanding of baseball as well as an understanding of New England.
  • Beer knowledge a plus.
