Recruits and manages sponsor and partner relationships for the purpose of activating new customers, creating revenue or mitigating operational expense.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interfaces with Marketing, Advertising, Entertainment, Sales and Operations departments to lead the acquisition, implementation and achievement of sponsorship dollars and value from business partners including existing sponsors and new sponsors.
  • Creates partnership and sponsorship programs to directly reduce costs, create revenue, increase acquisitions, add value to the property programming and drive cash revenue to outlets.
  • Maintains relationships with partners and vendors to develop, analyze, and execute proposals.
  • Develops sponsorship presentations and dissemination of sponsorship proposals to potential sponsors through PowerPoint presentations, face to face presentations and meetings.
  • Maintains the Sponsorship Status report weekly with the past sponsored event and value brought to Harrah’s New Orleans as well as what the sponsor provided and the general outcome of the event or promotion.
  • Creates a Sponsor Fulfillment Report for all major sponsored events to track all of the sponsored elements that each sponsor receives through marketing and public relations efforts.
  • Creates and provides sponsors with a Sponsorship Recap after each event, which identifies all of the value that they received from the event, program or promotion.
  • Assist with new concept development, projects and tasks associated with potential new restaurant and bar opportunities
  • Works with Finance team on forecasting and monthly reconciliation
  • Responsible for programming of seasonal, daily, and event driven F&B specials in an attempt to increase revenue and drive awareness and relevance.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent, current and thought-provoking Social Media campaigns and posts
  • Responsible for “gorilla” campaigns and marketing for F&B department. Inclusive of implementation of concierge, valet, convention programs and street teams.
  • Responsible for implementation, cultivation and evaluation of email database and programming of themed dinners and events
  • Function as liaison and ambassador of property outlets to ensure partnership with city wide events, festivals, and relationships.
  • Responsible for all property wide National Beverage Program requests and execution.
  • Responsible for creating cohesive property wide beverage offerings and signature F&B offerings
  • Function as a Multi-Outlet Manager wherever business demands dictate
  • Act as a leader and driver of areas of expertise as needed throughout the property
  • Responsible for execution of Fulton St, Canal Promenade, and exterior street activations and block parties
  • Responsible for managing and programming of Entertainment on Fulton St
  • Interfaces with F&B, Marketing, Entertainment, Sales and Operations departments to lead the implementation and achievement of experiential F&B offerings and moments
  • Responsible for communicating all sponsored programs with property leadership and operational departments through attending meetings with key departments.
  • Works in conjunction with key department leaders to have the proper staffing and executing of programs, including décor, permits, equipment, sponsor benefits.
  • Responsible for developing creative promotional opportunities to drive new business for casino and specific outlets through media, both paid and earned, and through partnerships.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Licensed and authorized to obtain money from the cage and to distribute promotional prize money on the gaming floor.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking ability to respond to the needs of the company.
  • Provides project leadership inclusive of work plan preparation and progress reporting.
  • Evaluates industry developments and recommends appropriate uses to management.
  • Ensures all products meet standards set by department. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with a background in sales, promotions, productions or public relations required.
  • Five years professional work experience in related field.
  • Analytical marketing or a strong analytical background desired.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be very detailed oriented.
  • Must have willingness to learn new systems and some familiarity with accounting principles.
  • Must possess excellent skills in project management, communication and supervision.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work comfortably with deadlines. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, including in and around all areas of the lounges, entertainment sets, etc. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when necessary. Must be able to work with little supervision. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
