TMHQ seeks a passionate, committed, highly-connected, energetic Senior Director to capitalize on our outstanding brand awareness and heavily participated/trafficked global events. Tough Mudder has morphed from a live event company to a global lifestyle platform with over 100 hours of content and media and we’re looking for a seasoned pro who can sell integrated sponsorship tied to rich content and media as well as represent our new, growing sports properties.


TMHQ’s Partnership Sales now represents approximately 20 percent of our overall business and that's just the tip of the iceberg versus what we believe can be accomplished over the next few years.


This role delivers impactful revenue to TMHQ, builds relationships with top companies/agencies in their field(s) and drives brand awareness. For the TMHQ partners, it’s a way of associating their property with a best-in-class property and establishing new ways to drive ROI for their business.


The Work:

  • Prospect, solicit, develop proposals and negotiate partnership sales and media plans
  • Sell across all Tough Mudder assets (live event, marketing, media, data, content, media ) and new TM initiatives such as Tough Mudder Bootcamp
  • Lead/support renewal negotiations
  • Manage sales pipeline and tracking system
  • Utilize existing network to approach and target sponsor partners
  • Establish key contact points at target companies, key man identification and marketing decision-making cycles Respond to further information requests with detailed and well-
  • presented analysis
  • Lead contract negotiations with new and existing sponsors
  • Develop new business initiatives to upsell to current partners

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & online research
  • Unique ability to sell content and media in addition to event sponsorship
  • Proven ability to focus on delivering results and achieving sales targets


    The Experience:


    Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 10 years of business development experience,
  • preferably selling sponsorships for a sports, media or event property
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proven database of partner contacts
