The Sr. Manager, External Events - Run will be responsible in managing, planning, and execution of Under Armour Run category program and other specialized events programs. This teammate will manage all aspects of his/her events with key partners internally (marketing, operations, apparel, footwear, accessories, etc.) as well as external agency partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall manage, assist development, and execution of the Under Armour Run category
Develop and manage key internal and external partnerships
Responsible for integrating and managing key metrics around UA Run events as well as other Tier 1 and Tier 2 internal categories
Manage program budgets and analysis to management on a monthly basis
Manage all project milestones, event analysis, and present status to senior management
Direct event activity to ensure delivery of key company vision, strategies, and representation
Develop event strategies reflective of the marketing goals for each individual department and program
Direct and manage development including all administrative tasks. The request will include but not limited to scheduling meetings/site visits, budgets, contracts, post show analysis data collection, and hotel accommodations
Translate goals/objectives of multiple businesses into a cohesive message
Create and manage all graphics and promotional items ordered with the brand marketing team and outside vendors
Ensure timely execution and production of key deliverables (event communication and support materials)
Maintain strong relationships with related partners in the industry such as show management, exhibit houses, organizations, and show contacts
Plan, create, organize, and coordinate all event materials,, shipping arrangements, and show service
CRITICAL SKILLS
Prior experience clearly expressing complex ideas, preparing progress reports, making presentations, writing proposals, and recaps
Demonstrated ability to understand and document processes, metrics and analytics
Experience with Agencies
Ability to pay attention to detail and to multi-task; prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while producing quality work and meeting deadlines
Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships including agency partners, internal clients, editors, and influencers etc.
Create a sense of urgency and is energized by speed
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
BA/BS degree required. Graduate degree is helpful but not required
6 to 9 years of experience in event logistics and planning or strategy or within the event planning industry
PRE-REQUISITES
The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and often lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to work equally efficiently in an office, convention/conference center, hotel, and a variety of social event locations
Ability to be flexible to work long hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays
Travel approximately 35% of the year
