The Sr. Manager, Events and Sponsorship Activation is responsible for producing Bleacher Report’s marquee events and activations annually; and managing sponsorship activation planning and execution on site and in partnership with multimedia account managers to fulfill on integrated marketing plans. In addition to marquee events, this role may oversee junior team members in the management of up to 6 custom client or brand events.
Note: This position requires extensive travel.
Role Profile:
Managing the development, execution and implementation of every facet of small to large scale events
Manage production partnerships
Manage activation agency partnerships
Develop structure and flow of the event
Venue Selection and contracting
Collaborate with Marketing & Ad Sales on the event branding
Collaborate with sales strategy on brand integration opportunities
Responsible for creative design for the overall look of the event
Understanding of large scale production needs and identifying appropriate partner resources to implement production related elements
Creates and manages Production & Onsite Schedules
Manage team and vendors onsite
Provides guidance and training to junior members of the team
Provide direction to project team when they are the lead and assistance on additional events they are supporting
Post event closure including vendor payments, final budget and billouts
Develop staffing needs and assign responsibilities accordingly
Bachelors degree preferred
5+ years of experience in event coordination/event planning
Knowledge of digital media landscape
Brand/sponsorships experience
