Direct management and oversight of national and regional sponsorship teams
Shape and support the strategy and objectives for both national and regional sponsorship properties
Lead the execution and activation of national and regional sponsorship properties
Understand individual line of business needs to build sponsorship activations that maximize return on investment and meet key performance objectives
Influence cross-functional teams (internal and external) through the development and execution of sponsorship activations. Cross-functional teams include event marketing, public relations, media, social and field sales support.
Communicate key metrics and opportunities through written reports, presentations and stakeholder status meetings.
Key contributor in the negotiation and valuation of new sponsorships and the renewal of existing sponsorship properties, including reviewing, finalizing and processing partner and spokesperson contracts
Proficient and accurate budget management and reporting
Required Skills
At least 10-15 years' experience in marketing required, with experience in Experiential, Sponsorships and Sports/Entertainment Marketing strongly preferred
Minimum of five to seven years of demonstrated success in sponsorships, strategy development or experiential marketing required
Minimum of three to five years of demonstrated exceptional organizational and project management skills in an ever-changing environment
Experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives required; coupled with the ability to think and plan ahead while delivering in a deliberate and tight, buttoned-up manner
Experience successfully managing a marketing budget required.
Proven autonomous performance and leadership in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple priorities with competing deadlines; record of sound decision making under pressure/compressed timelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thought leader who has the ability to think differently and disrupt where appropriate; customer-centric mindset and approach applied to creative thinking and program innovation
Must be flexible in approach and with the ability to execute quickly with a close attention to detail
A “can-do” attitude coupled with a readiness/willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and manage on-site details and logistics
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Docs
Demonstrated ability to handle complex negotiations maximizing ROI
Flexibility to work some late nights as events require and also to travel 20+% from March through October, including some weekends
Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent Military experience may also be considered; advanced degree preferred
Interest in and enthusiasm for both insurance and baseball
