The Director of Nickelodeon Velocity Sponsorship Strategy is responsible for leading a team in developing cross-platform sponsorship strategies that are relevant to all Ad Sales partners. You will partner with the Ad Sales organization to uncover and optimize opportunities for monetization, proactively develops Marketing Sales tools, and maintains strategic relationships, connecting Ad Sales to the broader Nickelodeon organization. The Director specifically works on opportunities that relate to Programming, Digital, and Upfront Strategy and reports into the Vice President, Sponsorship Strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling, creative, insight-driven sponsorship packages that showcase excellent storytelling, incorporate research and drive incremental advertising revenue for all Nick, NickToons and NickSports platforms
  • Oversee weekly meetings with internal network teams (ex: Content, Consumer Marketing, Media Planning, Brand Sales, etc.) to identify network priorities and potential sponsorship opportunities based on key events, premieres and launches
  • Lead analysis, development, execution and communication of all Upfront marketing strategies including new franchises, sales products, and turn-key sponsorships
  • Lead direct report(s) in the development of key skills including problem solving, deck creation, creative ideation, storytelling, business practices, and strategic thinking
  • Maintain project budget by forecasting and allocating funds for all current and future sponsorship packages, franchises, innovative marketing materials
  • Act as Partner Marketing and Sales internal resource for all custom proposals, helping generate client-specific sponsorship integration ideas across all categories and media
  • Regularly present sponsorship packages and programming updates to internal groups including Ad Sales, Media Planning, Programming and Partner Marketing
  • Constantly research on-air competitor opportunities, new digital trends, platforms and experiences that can inform sponsorship packages and share with broader Nickelodeon


    Required Skills

    Basic Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a marketing, media company or advertising agency

  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for writing
  • Proactive and strategic thinker
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Excel skills
  • Skilled diplomat who works effectively across multiple departments and external parties
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high performance group with multiple projects at one time
