Instagram is looking for a Head of Music Partnerships who is passionate about music, Instagram, and the intersection of the two. This position will lead Instagram’s Music partnerships efforts globally, working closely with Facebook’s Music Partnerships team to build and execute strategies and programs to drive high impact and authentic use of Instagram among artists, influencers, and the music ecosystem as a whole. The right person will handle day-to-day operations and partnership management, field and prioritize incoming requests, troubleshoot partner issues, and improve partner performance. This work will require cross-functional engagement with colleagues across verticals and regions, and is located at Instagram's New York City or Los Angeles office.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategy and outreach efforts with artists and industry influencers to develop innovative and high impact partnerships
  • Initiate, negotiate, and project manage high priority partnerships
  • Serve as internal advocate within Instagram for partners, including working with Sales and Product teams
  • Work closely with Facebook Music and Instagram Media colleagues to coordinate opportunities around key events (e.g. Award Shows, Festivals, etc.)
  • Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners


    Required Skills

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years experience with digital initiatives and/or partnerships in the music industry
  • Leadership experience, with experience working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple projects
  • Knowledge of music ecosystem, including artists, managers, labels, promoters, influencers and agencies
  • Communication and presentation experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, internally and externally
  • Experience working in a changing environment
