How You’ll Make an Impact
We need a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in the operations of our retail environment. In the role, you would be responsible for:
Assessing sports, entertainment and sponsorship opportunities; recommending assets and programs to build Valvoline brand equity; increasing brand consideration and creating value for retailers and installers
Leading Sports and Entertainment influencer strategy and execution in collaboration with Valvoline Equity Team influencer lead
Collaborating with content and social strategy managers to incorporate S&E assets into consumer communications
Managing S&E asset production and creative
Managing agency roster and driving cross-partner collaboration
Managing direct communication with key motor sports partner
Negotiating deliverables and fees to extract maximum value from partnerships; identifying savings opportunities and driving efficiency
Managing agency and partner billing
Creating asset utilization plan to ensure 100% of assets are used, for profitable purposes
Building connections and creating leads within motor sports community to grow overall distribution and promotional opportunities for DIY/DIFM business
Driving agency efficiency with focus on time management and strategic priorities
Working directly with Valvoline Trade Marketing and Sales teams to develop assets and sell in campaigns to retailers and installers
Reporting out on key initiatives to stakeholders and leadership
Working with Brand Manager of Equity to define KPIs and measure the effectiveness/ROI of sponsorship initiatives
What You’ll Need
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, advertising or related area
Minimum 3 years experience in marketing with a focus on sports, entertainment and sponsorships
Working knowledge of sports and entertainment, including motorsports
Working knowledge of traditional and digital media
Strong relationship building skills
Expert negotiation skills
Demonstrable past experience translating objectives into strategies and tactical plans
Ability to judge creative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed
Strong presentation skills; detail oriented; deadline driven; data and performance focused
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
