This leadership role will report to the Sr. Director of Planning, Services & Customer Marketing. The position has significant cross-functional interaction across Brand Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales Teams, Procurement and Executive Leadership. The role is focused on developing the company strategy and route-to-market plans on Sponsorships and Partnerships, as well as playing a key role in the development of Key Corporate Events, such as national incentives and large sales meetings. Key areas of responsibility include:


  • Lead the development and deployment of Beam Suntory’s internal sponsorship strategy across key platforms (i.e., Sports)
  • Develop sponsorship processes and activation guides (branding, assets, events, POS, packaging) to assist with regional marketing efforts
  • Evaluate all proposed sponsorship opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners based on appropriate levels of ROI
  • Play key partnership role in negotiation of sponsorship terms from proposal to contract
  • Create and track on-going evaluation tools for leadership and cross-functional shareouts
  • Manage multi-million dollar contract budgets in conjunction with Brand/Regional Marketing, Sales and Finance teams
  • Share best practices across regions, markets, teams and venues


  • Lead the development and deployment of Beam Suntory’s partnership strategy
  • Develop partnership approval processes across Brand/Customer/Regional Marketing teams, as well as Sales
  • Assess most-effective partners who aligned with our brand strategies, as well as consumer and customer needs
  • Evaluate all proposed partnership opportunities and provide recommendations to deliver on most effective strategic partners
  • Play key partnership role in negotiation of partnership terms from proposal to contract
  • Assist in on-going evaluation of partnersip programs

    Event Management:

    Provide strategic leadership in the development of Key Corporate Events, including our National Sales Meetings, Commercial Leadership Summits and large National Incentives programs

    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10-12 yrs. Relevant Experience
  • Sponsorship/Partnership background strongly preferred
  • Event planning and management experience preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track-record of negotiation
  • Alcohol-beverage industry experience a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic-thinking is a must
  • Microsoft Office standard programs
  • Travel 15-25% (will vary throughout the fiscal year)
