Topgolf is a hyper-growth company that is building a brand with a strong emotional connection to consumers and is fast becoming a lifestyle brand. The Director of Partnership Marketing is a key strategic management role on the Partnerships and Global Marketing team, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This newly created brand leadership role will align with the Global Partnerships team to drive brand alignment, increase venue visits, enhance the guest experience, and deliver revenue targets for new and current partners. Our ideal candidate has relevant experience in developing long-term strategic partnerships with new and existing brands for Topgolf Properties, including but not limited to Topgolf Venues (US & UK), Digital, Content (original series and advertising), WGT, Topgolf Tour, Topgolf CRUSH, and Concert series. The candidate will also have an appreciation for brand building and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, ever-changing landscape.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing lead in all partner-facing strategic initiatives and activations that create value (on both sides) while ensuring consistency, scale and effectiveness
  • Liaise with the CMO on consumer insights / brand strategy and own all initiatives in the partnership space to enhance brand value
  • Owner of research, insights and marketing tools to demonstrate how partnering with Topgolf will drive a client’s business goals in a unique and compelling way
  • Identify revenue generating opportunities and build business cases to test and scale new inventory
  • Create research driven proposals that align with clients’ business objectives in response to Global Partnership requests and client RFP’s
  • Create and pitch new on-strategy platforms / programs to new partners that are mutually beneficial
  • Utilize creative writing skills to ensure every proposal tells a compelling story
  • Evaluate and partner with the VP of Partnerships to negotiate deals with new and existing partners
  • Partner with Global Partnerships, Marketing and Operations teams to conceptualize sponsorship programs that leverage Topgolf’s properties and value proposition and ultimately deliver revenue targets
  • Serve as the interface with all relevant Topgolf divisions to ensure that proposal concepts and recommendations are on brand, plus operationally and technologically feasible
  • Maximize partner marketing campaigns to drive visits to Topgolf Properties, plus review and approve partner materials and scheduling to align with Marketing team
  • Owner of partner inventory, marketing collateral and positioning for the Global Partnership team
  • Work closely with the Global Partnership teams to identify appropriate target categories/brands and maximize partnerships with retention and earned media
  • Drive department values of teamwork and collaboration, startup-thinking and creativity
  • Manage a team of dedicated marketing professionals to drive execution, create value and build careers


    Required Skills

    Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive work-related experience within Sponsorships, Digital, Client Relations, and/or Event Activation industry with a sports and entertainment property or agency
  • Must be a strategic problem-solver, an influencer with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leader with established track record of successfully managing, motivating and developing a team. Experienced in cross-functional work with ability to lead and manage projects across organization
  • Strong analytical capabilities; In-depth knowledge of sports and entertainment industry trends and competitive insights
  • Experience translating customer insights into partnership marketing strategies that drive revenue
  • Established track record of creating systems/processes to guide integrated partnerships into action within a complex organization
  • Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Robust written and verbal communication skill
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt and multi-task
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
