Strategic Event Marketing, Sponsorships & Tickets | Associate San Francisco, CA
Overview
The Associate will work as a part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) event marketing team, focusing on strategic direction and execution of franchise client events, sponsorships activations and ticket allocations for the West Coast in the U.S. In addition to West Coast events, the associate will help work on larger programs in the U.S. and across the globe. The job requires interaction and engagement with a broad range of business stakeholders, senior management, and partners. The marketer will work alongside team members to execute strategic event marketing plans and protocol, join project work streams and create ad hoc reporting. The marketer will also manage his/her own events with the broader goal of helping the CIB increase client business, deepen existing client relationships, help drive efficiencies for internal partners and maintain J.P. Morgan brand standard across all events and sponsorships.
The role reports to the head of Global Sponsorships & Tickets, with a line of responsibility into the U.S. Head of Corporate Events.
Responsibilities
Event Marketing:
Help manage proprietary client events from start to finish including responsibilities such as; content development, speaker management, venue research, invitation and registration processes
Oversee event production tasks such as the creation of marketing collateral, on-site staffing and support and other event logistics
Collaborate with West Coast based senior management to target important client relationships to the firm and support business goals
Work alongside other internal teams and event managers on event data and analysis
Function as an independent event marketer as well as an integral part of the team, act as a local expert with the ability to answer questions and direct inquiries to the greater team
San Francisco/ West Coast Tickets:
Strategically manage firm ticket subscriptions for client entertainment, focusing on the new Chase Center, San Francisco Giants and ad hoc sports/entertainment events
Continually maintain relationships and prioritize entertainment requests from the business
Execute day to day operations of ticket allocation, distribution and recordkeeping using excel, adhering to internal regulations
Send periodic updates on ticket usage and programs to the business
Global Sponsorships:
Support with the planning, data management, communication, marketing collateral and on-site facilitation for global sponsorships
Lead the planning of local sponsorships like Auction Napa Valley and the Golden State Warriors
Develop and maintain important local vendor relationships as it relates to partner properties
Assist with sponsorships based in the Asia Pacific region, with potential to travel on-site
Qualifications:
Ability to learn strategy, identify issues and find reasonable solutions
Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines, maintaining high attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables
Comfortable interacting with high-level internal stakeholders and their clients
Skills required:
3+ years experience in marketing, events, tickets, operations or a support function, preferably at a financial services firm
Basic knowledge of sports venues and professional sports teams preferable
Ability to work late hours, weekends and travel on occasion
Proficiency in Excel, Word & Power Point; some working knowledge of Access preferred
