The Manager of Sports Partnerships is to maintain relationships between MGM Resorts and sports leagues and teams to build and execute key sports initiatives which may include new event development, branding activities, and sports betting. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

  • Maintain relationships with the major US sports leagues, key international leagues and federations (i.e., FIFA, USOC), as well as agencies and others who represent leagues and teams
  • Implement the creation, commencement and optimization of sponsorships and partnerships with teams and leagues.
  • Partner with the Sports Activation Team to facilitate activations and participation in curated sports events by teams and leagues
  • Partner with the Interactive Gaming team to integrate sports betting initiatives into new event and branding development.
  • Partner with MGM Resorts properties to develop and execute brand marketing initiatives and opportunities.
  • Maintain tracking, reporting, and performance of team and league relationships for direct leadership
  • Understand contract terms to ensure execution of key initiatives by MGM Resorts and teams and leagues
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure team and league partnerships are fully implemented and activated and we get maximum value from them.
  • Remain relevant and knowledgeable in the sports industry and maintain reporting and communication for MGM Resorts leadership.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.


    Required Skills

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in entertainment, sports, events or related field.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.


    Preferred:

  • Similar experience working in a similar sport, resort, entertainment, or sponsorship setting.
