Purpose:
Manager, Experiential Marketing & Strategic Alliance will supervise strategic development and implementation of Hyundai’s experiential marketing initiatives & alliances against key Hyundai marketing objectives – increase brand awareness, increase consideration, improve perception and drive dealer traffic.
Major Responsibilities:
Experiential Marketing Management - Supervise development and implementation of Hyundai “experiences”; includes approval of program objectives, thematic direction, overall look & feel, campaign tactics and creative executions.
Strategic Alliances Management – supervise development and implementation of Hyundai alliances (including sponsorships, entertainment marketing, and integrated media partner programs); research, review and evaluate opportunities for Hyundai to reach consumers through new, creative channels.
Budget Management – oversee planning and responsible use of multi-million dollar Experiential Marketing budget; must be able to maximize available resources and demonstrate ability to adapt to economic conditions.
Communication – effectively communicate and interact with executive team, fellow employees, regional management, national dealer body, the consumer public and, occasionally, the media; ensure timely distribution of Executive Communications and Executive Recaps.
Partner Management – manage multiple agencies and vendors; define roles & responsibilities, provide strategic direction.
Staff Management – coach and develop direct reports’ time and project workload; provide guidance, and recognize and cultivate diverse talents of staff while focusing on goals and vision of the company.
Maintain an awareness of changing market trends, consumer attitudes and opinions.
Authority:
This position requires ability to problem solve, make decisions and operate independently.
Position evaluates direct reports.
Position approves travel and expenses for direct reports.
Education:
Must have a high school diploma
Must have a Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree a plus
Related Experience:
Six to seven years of work experience with at least five years marketing or promotions experience, preferably automotive agency and/or related client side experience.
Agency experience a plus.
Four plus years of supervisory experience desired.
Skill / Knowledge:
Ability to manage in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, with multiple projects and vendor partners.
Heavy emphasis on interpersonal relationship skills, analytical skills, written and oral communication skills and leadership skills.
Basic computer skills and time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
Normal office duties
Must be able to travel 70% - 80%
