The Marketing Specialist for Sponsorships is responsible for assisting with the development, planning and execution of assets across the sponsorship portfolio. The Marketing Specialist must work effectively with internal and external resources and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet key business objectives. The Marketing Specialist will partner closely with Regional marketing, local Corporate Sales, and other matrix teams to understand key market priorities, and how best to leverage sponsorships to meet business goals and needs.


The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for driving results focused initiatives that ladder back to Delta's flight plan goals. Specialist will serve as lead on creative development for all advertising & branded materials related to team & event sponsorships. Specialist will assist with the development of sponsorship campaigns, including content production and photo shoots, and be responsible for the day-to-day agency management, creative approvals, as well as timeline and budget tracking. Specialist will collaborate with Sales, SkyMiles, Employee Engagement, Community Engagement, and Government Affairs teams to ensure the effective use of hospitality opportunities, including allocating event tickets.


A successful applicant will demonstrate strong creative skills along with initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to work proactively while collaborating in a team environment. We are looking for someone prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment but driven to take the initiative to succeed when presented with individual work responsibilities.


Preference is for Specialist to be located in NY, but open to ATL based employee.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have, at a minimum, all the following:

  • BA/BS Degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Public Relations or Advertising
  • An energetic and self-motivated attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work cross divisional
  • Comfortable working on a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities at any given time
  • Prior work experience in Events, Marketing, Advertising, Sponsorship, and/or Promotion preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work relevant events, which happen weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Some travel required (20-30%)
