OVERVIEW


Strategically plan, manage and execute Oracle Sports Marketing events through innovative, experiential, and targeted programs with a total customer experience in mind. Work with cross-functional teams while ultimately focusing on reaching as many Oracle customers, partners, and prospects by creating experiences like no other. 1. Plan, manage and execute sports marketing events 2. Analyze portfolio performance to improve maximum return on investment. 3. Manage request process of sponsorship opportunities and ensure effective responses to all inquiries


Participate in the development and execution of corporate events marketing programs.


Project manages diverse portfolio of corporate event types (seminars, executive roundtables, sponsorships) with specific teams mapped as event type specialists. Drives alignment of messaging and overall strategy; helps to ensure that the right event is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Drives creative thought process and continuous evaluation and refinement of Oracle's event marketing portfolio. Provides management with reports and analysis on program efficacy for future program selection and budget allocation.


Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 12+ years relevant work experience. Software business management experience, and Marketing experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desired.


Required Skills

  • A senior level marketing event director with proven ability to conceptualize and drive sports marketing and executive experiential programs. 15+ years event experience
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing a range of sports marketing programs ie, BNP Paribas Open, Aerobatic Air Shows, Final Four, Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments, Masters and similar events.
  • Solid understanding of overall event management
  • Strong analytical budgeting skills
  • Seasoned leader with strong leadership, committed team player, a creative communicator and presenter
  • Ability to establish rapport with individuals and groups at all organization levels, including C-level
  • Experience in analyzing and optimizing event program performance to improve maximally return on investment
  • Strong experience in creating and designing event programs, including event themes, messaging, branding, content out the box ideas and creative approaches to improving audience engagement and interaction
  • Managing the request process of sponsorship opportunities and ensuring effective responses to all inquiries
  • Highly motivated, event and sports enthusiast
  • Able to operate independently on various tasks and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills and solid project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with flexibility, high energy, patience and enthusiastic and establish strong relationships with internal and external business partners at all levels
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Develop and deliver internal and external communication strategies for strategic programs
  • Ability to operate various task and projects independently
  • Solid understanding of the best and latest event and sports marketing technologies
  • Energetic and capable of working for long hours. Exhibit enormous amounts of patience and flexibility if the situation demands.
  • TRAVEL: Must have the ability to travel approx. 30%/yr.
