Clif Bar & Company is looking for an ATHLETE MARKETING MANAGER to join our Sports Marketing Team.

The Athlete Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving the execution of athlete marketing activities across CLIF’s existing and new sports segments under the guidance of the Sr. Marketing Manager, Athlete Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of athlete sponsorships from relationship initiation onward, including the processes of talent identification, athlete proposals, contract negotiation, contract fulfillment, the development and execution of athlete marketing plans, and integrated activations.
Be an expert on all managed athletes and their respective sports, being able to consider the associated consumer mindsets.
Be able to immerse yourself in the landscapes of sports and maintain a connection to their associated communities to keep CLIF authentic, connected, and credible.
Activate and leverage our sponsored athletes in the physical and digital space, including experiential activations, content creation, social media, editorial media, OOH, etc. in partnership with a cross-functional teams.
Work closely with cross functional teams around sponsored events and other opportunities to ensure the development of athlete marketing activations that align with and support field and event marketing targets.
Proactively plan and execute photo and film shoots in collaboration with CLIF creative team to ensure top quality content is available for each managed athlete.
Keep finger on the pulse of sports news, trends and best practices, and apply to athlete marketing programming that keeps the brand at the leading edge.
Prepare reports that summarize, measure, and evaluate results of marketing efforts.
Manage budget for all managed athletes and activations, tracking spends and assessing outcomes.

Education/Training Required
Bachelor’s degree is required
Minimum 4 years Athlete Marketing/Management experience
