The main function of the Global Sponsorship Marketing (GSM) group is to deliver world class sponsorship marketing platforms, consult across the Visa organization as sports and entertainment SMEs, and execute events that drive Visa Brand metrics, Client activation, Product imperatives, and ultimately Visa preference and revenue.


Global Sponsorship Marketing oversees Visa’s global sponsorship properties including our long term partnerships with the International Olympic Committee, FIFA and the NFL.


The Manager will primarily support the Global Client Integration Team within Global Sponsorship Marketing, with additional special projects and support for our property management teams. This position will expose the selected individual to all facets of Sponsorship and is a great opportunity to learn how we use these platforms across the business.


Client Integration drives global activation of Visa’s Global Sponsorships for our issuers, merchants, and strategic partners to build Visa’s business and deepen our client/partner relationships.


This position will work with a varied group of stakeholders across Global, Regional (Hub) and Local Marketing teams. Key relationships include regional sponsorship leads, client marketing (hub/local markets), global sales/biz development teams, product, communications, and innovation teams. Building relationships with these key contacts will be critical to the success of this role.


Client Integration

  • Support annual sponsorship activation planning and execution for Global clients in partnership with Regional marketing leads; partner with global stakeholders to provide content for client-facing presentations
  • Manage/support workstreams to develop client sell-in materials for all Global Properties; partner with brand team to ensure Visa Global campaigns support client needs.
  • Work with agencies to identify new/expanded activation opportunities and assets for clients across all Global sponsorships
  • Manage global client integration updates/reporting for global taskforces and executive briefings
  • Provide oversight of asset allocation for clients; maintain asset inventory tracking and reporting
  • Work with Regional leads to develop case studies & best practices after each global event for use in future sell-in
  • Own and maintain library of support materials for use by client-facing teams
  • Manage inventory/ordering for global client integration premiums, sell-in support materials
  • Manage document libraries & shared sites as the CI team lead, including VBAM, Digideck (web presentation platform), Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint.
  • Manage and direct Endeavor team members to support across tracking & reporting, VBAM uploads/management of files and ad-hoc projects.


    Global Sponsorship Management: Strategy + Planning support

  • Support annual operations planning (AOP) process for the Sponsorship Team across all Global Properties as requested
  • Maintain/update portfolio overview and events calendar across all Global and Regional properties; maintain sponsorship web pages (Visa.com, Insite, other)
  • Manage executive quarterly sponsorship updates in partnership with Regional marketing leads
  • Partner with Research and Insights team on Sponsorship Measurement, Dashboards and special projects
  • Partner with Regional sponsorship teams to explore and evaluate new sponsorship opportunities
  • Provide support on key projects as needed with property management teams (e.g. NFL, USSF). Responsibilities may include asset usage recaps for the Property, meeting/presentation prep and delivery and other projects at the direction of the property leads.


    Physical Requirements


    This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment (phones and computers), reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.


    Travel Requirements


    The incumbent may be required to travel 10-20% domestically and internationally. Duration of trip could be 2-3 weeks at a time. Occastionally, the incumbent may need to work outside of normal business hours to support international teams or during peak trave times for events.


    Required Skills


    Basic

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)


    Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 or more years work experience in marketing; experienced working with clients/partners preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment – may require early/late calls due to multiple time zones, provide customized deliverables per hub or market-specific needs
  • You have excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • You have advanced skills with PPT & Excel to create high-quality presentations and investment models.
  • You have strong quantitative skills; position requires work with data/financials and will partner with our Analytics & Measurement team on new projects.
  • Familiar with Sharepoint & Microsoft Teams and other systems as needed for role.
  • Some international travel may be required, including extended stays during Visa Global Events (e.g. Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups)
