Utilizes sports marketing as a channel to drive Children’s strategic brand messages and generate awareness among parents and families via sports sponsorship relationships. These include: The Falcons, Atlanta United, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Dream, UGA, Georgia Tech and others. Position reports to the Director of Marketing and Advertising.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Leads sports marketing strategy development, competitive assessment, analytics and campaign optimization to maximize Children’s return on investment (ROI).
  • Drives strategic and tactical implementation, including creative in-game activations, advertising extensions and multi-platform content development across Children’s channels.
  • Leverages sports partnership opportunities via public relations and social media.
  • Supports contract deliverables, implementation and partnership commitments, as well as assists with recommendations for contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Partners with sports team liaisons to design unique brand activations on and off the field.
  • Collaborates closely with marketing and communications team peers to extend reach of integrated content and brand messaging inside and outside Children’s.


    SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*


    Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


    Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

    EXPERIENCE*

  • Ten years’ experience in sports marketing


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Ad agency or sports marketing agency experience
  • Existing relationships with team partnership staff

  • Thorough knowledge of the sporting industry, Atlanta teams and their respective fan bases, research and trends
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of market and business data and ability to apply this information in the development, implementation, measurement, and evaluation of strategic marketing plans
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex responsibilities
  • Ability to perform market and business analysis, strategic planning, and program management with documented outcomes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong business acumen
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization
