A day in the life of the Manager, Sports Marketing at Thorne requires this employee to:
Develop a sports marketing calendar putting forward innovative and creative ideas that have clear brand awareness and brand equity goals, leveraging the sport partnership assets (logos, photos etc).
Activate both digitally and physically through Thorne-owned channels and Amazon around big sporting events, including but not limited to Olympics, World Cup, UFC fights, marathons, owning go-to-market process and leading project management.
Be proactive and persistent in working with partners to promote Thorne on partner-owned channels.
Identify sport-related bloggers and influencers and negotiate syndicated content on their channels.
Clearly articulate and communicate relevant learnings up and out to all levels and departments of the company regarding sports marketing.
Sports Marketing Strategy
Develop innovative and scrappy ways to create content leveraging our sports partnerships, e.g. interviews with UFC fighters, interview with Jordan Hasay.
Schedule and manage video production and photoshoots in collaboration with Creative and sports partners, e.g. photoshoot of U.S. National Soccer game.
Generate blog article ideas on sport-related topics with relevant timing and messaging, collaborating with Medical Affairs and Copywriter on copy execution.
Create digital ads leveraging partnership marks across Amazon.
Manage VIK contracts and accounts, ensuring individuals adhere to contractual obligations and utilize appropriate coupon code.
Work with agents of sports influencers on social postings – provide copy, images, and follow up on execution.
Collaborate with Manager, Growth & Digital Marketing on monthly communication to sports VIK accounts.
Analyze incoming sponsorship/partnership requests from a brand and analytical perspective, making recommendations on whether to pursue and engage.
Create pitch decks outlining marketing requests for new sports related partnerships and influencers.
Track and analyze performance of sports influencers and VIK, reaching out to underperforming accounts to find ways to improve.
Promote the Company’s Mission and Values, including an accountable, innovative, and results-oriented culture that promotes customer service, openness, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect.
Seek formal and informal performance assessments, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential.

Bachelor’s degree required.
3+ years experience required in marketing/sales in-house or at an agency.
