The International Senior Sponsorship Executive will be accountable for managing the relationships of Betfair’s international sponsorships with a focus on the LATAM market.
Betfair are one of only a few prestigious brands to sponsor two of the biggest football competitions in South America, the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. This role is therefore a unique and amazing opportunity to manage campaigns and activations across both these competitions, working closely with key stakeholders at FC Diez and CONMEBOL.
The executive will support the International Sponsorship Manager in driving Betfair’s brand awareness across LATAM with a primary focus on Brazil. With very low awareness of the Betfair brand across LATAM, the role requires someone who is very creative and who is excited by the prospect of sharing their ideas to drive the brand forward.
The footballing legend RIvaldo is one of Betfair’s global ambassadors and the executive would also be required to build strong relationships with him and develop strong content ideas for how he is utilized more effectively across Brazil.
The executive will be expected to bring their local knowledge of the markets to the role and not be afraid to challenge other stakeholders’ views or decisions when necessary. They will be responsible for developing positive relationships with the sponsors and local agencies whose support will be crucial for us to deliver on the brand objectives.
The role requires an ambitious and hardworking individual who will be excited at the prospect of working in sport. They will be looking forward to the challenge of delivering high impact brand campaigns leveraged through ATL and BTL.
They will be responsible for ensuring all contractual rights are delivered, managing everything from ticket inventory to organising events with thousands of fans. To deliver these seamlessly they will need to work closely with the brand, editorial, PR, digital and social teams. Building strong internal stakeholder relationships will therefore be essential.
Another important part of the role will be the responsibility of managing our LATAM social media accounts and editorial websites working closely with local editors and agencies in the creation and posting of content that will be engaging to sports fans and that is highly sharable. The executive will also need to support in the development and approval of social content hosted on partner/sponsor channels. Previous experience or strong familiarity of social media management would therefore be advantageous.
It’s essential that the executive is fluent in Portuguese (Brazilian) and preferably has a strong interest in football.
Frequent international travel will be required
