We are looking for a smart, talented, and experienced sales and marketing professional to lead the Sponsorships team at Salesforce. Are you looking to innovate and flex your creativity? The VP of Sponsorship Marketing is responsible for reenergizing how Salesforce delivers revenue generating sponsorship sales. The VP is expected to deliver on strategic multifaceted sponsorship opportunities with leading B2B and B2C brands to meet the annual sponsorship revenue goals. He/she will lead the Sponsorships team to deliver on every sponsorship activation with flawless execution.


The ideal candidate has passion for sponsorship marketing, ability to construct and sell compelling and clearly positioned sponsorship opportunities, enthusiasm and talent for managing complex programs and developing innovative solutions. He/she must be an incredible relationship builder, think like an innovator, be excited by the opportunity to overcome challenges, and have an ability to operate and lead teams through a matrixed environment, while partnering with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of high performing individuals and people managers to deliver on sponsorship goals
  • Execute large scale, global partner and sponsorship programs
  • Guide, influence and inspire peak performance across internal teams and external partners
  • Craft creative sponsorship packages that offer winning opportunities for all parties
  • Create relevant presentations and internal and external content (playbooks, pitch decks, objection handling, execution and logistics, etc.) to support the sponsorship sales and execution
  • Think outside-the-box and expand sponsorship opportunities beyond traditional channels
  • Manage budget, operations, pipeline planning, and success metrics


    Required Skills

  • 15+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Non-traditional backgrounds desired (sports, entertainment, media, agency)
  • A self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy, charismatic, innovative, creative individual
  • Results driven with solid follow through
  • Consultative selling experience, including excellent negotiation skills
  • Outside-the-box thinker, avoid complacency and status quo
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build innovative and collaborative teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management/building skills
  • Experience in client management and/or agency side is a plus
  • Highly collaborative, influential, and able to successfully work cross-functionally to ensure strong partnerships
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
