Duties include:
Event planning, management and execution from beginning to end which includes travel, primarily over the weekends
Creates marketing and implementation activation and detailed project plans including sales and operations coordination, hospitality compliance, global, regional, cross-business unit and sponsorship partner communications
Manages internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless activation of sponsorship events
Works hand-in-hand with Sales and global compliance to certify that all events and invitations comply with DPDHL Hospitality and Compliance guidelines and policy
Manages promotions, communications, and advertising associated with partnerships and assessment of their success
Manages communications programs to targeted audiences, both internally and externally
Assists in identifying, evaluation, feasibility analysis and negotiating of new sponsorship proposals
Evaluates sales recommendations for local partnership activities
Assists in the development and tracking of sponsorship budgets
Develops plans for advertising and promotion materials to support sponsorship activation
Responds to varied sponsorship requests from media, charitable organizations, customers and internal DHL departments
Monitors and responds to employee and customer feedback and implements improvements
Prepares detailed status reports, timelines and post event recaps
Serves as advocate for the business by building and maintaining positive relationships.
Typically requires BS/BA in Communications, Sales, Marketing, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience or MS/MA and a minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
Prior experience and track record of proven success in sponsorship activation is a preferred.
Experience in developing sponsorship marketing experiences and promotional programs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Position requires excellent negotiation, communication, initiative, time and project management skills
Demonstrated client or advertising agency knowledge and relationships preferred
Prior experience in event production is preferred
Attention to detail is a must
Ability to travel for events, primarily on the weekend is required
