UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Sales Manager, Corporate Sales and Sponsorship.

Under the leadership of the Associate A.D., Corporate Sales and Sponsorship, the selected candidate will be responsible for generating new business revenue through the creation and cultivation of positive business relationships (current and new), prospecting of potential partners, development and presentation of innovative sponsorship packages, collaboration with both University and community partnerships, and closing of new business utilizing a consultative approach, meeting the needs of UCF, the Athletics department and our partners.

Working within the guidelines of the University, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: research, prospect and establish leads via direct phone contact, off-site visits, networking, and regular attendance at organizational / industry related events; be responsible for the selling of complex sponsorship assets that include on-site branding, digital media platforms, traditional media and experiential space packages to events tied to the various athletic teams; qualify leads and develop progressive strategies to close new and existing business in a timely manner; cultivate and enhance relationships with new / existing partners; create and deliver persuasive proposals; negotiate business terms and contracts; consistently inform leadership on progress towards established revenue goals; host and entertain perspective clients at specific UCFAA events; collaborate in the progressive development of inventory (current and new) and the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements; utilize department CRM system to track sales activity and client contact information; work closely with Partnership Activation team, in addition to both internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of deal points and collaborate with University departments on partner related programming. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of sports partnerships, the results-driven sales process and be genuinely committed to a team first ideal of providing superior customer service (internally and externally) with the overarching goal of maximizing the customer experience for current and prospective sponsors.

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree and two (2) years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and (4) years appropriate experience. Prefer a self-starting, results oriented individual with strong conceptual selling skill, a demonstrated history of sales success, strong negotiating acumen as well as a positive team member that displays a passion for their craft, an openness to learning, a superior work ethic, public speaking acumen and willingness to be part of, and contribute to the "team concept" of reaching goals and success. As a UCF Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the UCF Athletics program.
