This position will be responsible for inspiring, implementing and upholding the Credit One Bank brand through daily leadership of sports and entertainment sponsorships. Working closely with the Assistant Vice President of Brand Strategy and sponsorship managers, this position will be responsible for leading sponsorship strategy, directing team to fulfill contractual assets, and seek out new sponsorship opportunities. Candidate must be able to place a strong emphasis on teamwork and integration across both offline and online channels.


Candidate must be an expert in the business of sports marketing while being well-versed in present and emerging sponsorship platforms.


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Be a contributing leader to the Brand Strategy team with the lens of expanding the brand’s narrative through unique and compelling sports and entertainment sponsorships.
  • Lead the discovery of sponsorship opportunities to create authentic and cross-channel campaigns that elevate the brand and grow awareness.
  • Leverage data to evaluate new and existing programs to optimize sponsorship portfolio performance
  • Grow and foster a team of managers who are dedicated to maximizing sponsorship assets and integration of brand campaign elements.
  • Support and grow credit card portfolio through co-branded products with a high level of attention to the full consumer lifecycle.
  • Monitor competitive activation of sponsorships and campaigns to understand points of differentiation and new brand opportunities.
  • Keep a pulse of the ever-changing business world of sports to identify new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate and manage incoming sponsorship proposals and facilitate, as appropriate, with agencies and Brand team leadership.
  • Create thoughtful, data-driven, and persuasive presentations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Liaise with media and agency partners to identify new opportunities to amplify sponsorships and new campaigns.
  • Collaborate with social and creative teams to ensure innovation and integration amongst sponsorships and campaigns.
  • Accountable for budget management and reconciliation
  • Articulate strong and thoughtful written and verbal communications
  • Ability to manage up and across the organization relevant and actionable information
  • Understand Bank processes and business to develop and implement new initiatives related to duties.
  • Be a collaborative “go-to” partner within an energetic and hard-working team of multi-disciplinary marketers
  • Establish the Brand Strategy team as a company-wide resource for championing innovative and thoughtful work that moves the needle
  • Percent of time spent traveling: 5%

    Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of consulting or client-side sponsorships and advertising experience for large-sized national brands
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a communications-related field
  • Proven experience in sports and entertainment marketing
