Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Senior Manager, Sports Partnerships for Roc Nation Unified. This role will report into the Senior Director, Sports Partnerships of Roc Nation Unified. The position is based in the New York City headquarters and will play a critical role in the future growth and success of the most influential sports and entertainment agency in the world – Roc Nation. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, highly motivated individual who functions with confidence and expertise in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.
Responsibilities:
This role requires deep knowledge of the sports business industry, as well as strong interpersonal skills to help drive alignment among various stakeholders, while also influencing go-to-market strategies that optimize for growth, adoption and value for this audience
This role is creating and selling sponsorship opportunities across the current company portfolio, with the main focus on our athletes
Manage relationships from conceptual discussions through to contracting
Drive acquisition of new business through market research, analysis and sales
Present and sell opportunities to potential clients
Manage sales pipeline on our internal CRM system
Anticipate the needs of the sports and events teams based on the current/upcoming priorities
Prioritize and manage multiple sales prospects simultaneously and follow up on pitches in a timely manner
Challenge status quo and constantly look for more efficient and effective ways to go to market
Manage budgets and deliverables
Bachelor’s Degree
Must have 3-5 years of sponsorship selling experience within a team, league, network, or media outlet and/or at an agency with direct relevant experience and knowledge in sports
Strong network across client direct relationships
Highest level of client services experience with the ability to act quickly and thoughtfully
Must have excellent written and verbally communications skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
Motivated by an extremely collaborative and fast-moving environment
Must have a strong work ethic, and is a passionate self-starter who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves
Possess strong knowledge and passion of the Sports industry, and future trends/opportunities shaping it
Should have good working relationships either with brands, networks, and/or teams/leagues & talent
