Sinclair Sports National Sales Team is looking for a Director of Branded Content Sales to meet/exceed revenue goals as well as create an omni-channel Branded Content plan of execution in coordination with the SVP of Sports Digital (National) for one of the largest sports portfolios in the world (FOX Sports RSN’s, Tennis Channel and Stadium).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the branded content space and the value it provides brands in the digital ecosystem
  • Be a consultative representative of the Sinclair Sports business to develop a pipeline of F500 brands to meet or exceed financial goals
  • Leverage knowledge and relationships with brands and sponsorship/media agencies to develop revenue opportunities
  • Work in collaboration with internal teams in creation of branded content opportunities
  • Expedite the sales cycle through an understanding of client marketing needs, Sinclair Sports capabilities, and accurate articulation of Sinclair Sports value proposition
  • Identify and communicate market opportunities within the National Sports team to facilitate creation of compelling programs
  • Translate client business challenges into opportunities to sell Sinclair Sports Branded Content Partnerships & sponsorship/media solutions
  • Manage client relationships from initial pitch, through transition/onboarding, onto long-term engagements of ongoing strategic management and leadership
  • Creatively explore upsell/leverage opportunities with existing sponsorship and media partners
  • Inspire clients and team members by contributing creative sales ideas that impact overall goals and objectives
  • Build deep trusted relationships/partnerships with sponsorship decision-makers within brands and their agencies to serve their interactive marketing needs
  • Accurately forecast revenue and proactively resolve challenges that impede sales growth

    Required Skills

  • A 10+ year revenue development career track focused on Branded Content, Integrated sponsorship sales, preferably in consultative selling to Fortune 500 C-level decision makers and/or similar senior level agency decision makers
  • Proven track record of successfully closing six and seven figure media deals
  • Strong knowledge of the Branded Content / Sports sponsorship/media landscape including industry trends, key players and terminology, with the ability to craft integrated marketing plans and solutions
  • Goal-oriented with proven experience in building a pipeline of new business and exceeding established financial targets
  • Robust analytical skills, including market strategy and a value-based selling process
  • Advanced negotiating skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creation of convincing and strategic sales approaches, proposals, documentations and presentations
  • Travel Required
