One of Live Nation’s joint ventures, Roc Nation, is looking for a Director – Music Festival Sponsorship Sales to drive new client acquisition in their NY office. This role is ideal for a strategic sales professional with specific experience in sponsorship sales for festivals and other live music events. The ideal candidate has the ability to attain and exceed revenue goals in this very competitive and high-growth space, while building relationships with major global brands.


Responsibilities:

  • Create, package and sell solution-based sponsorships/music marketing programs for Roc Nation live music festivals, including the annual Made in America Music Festival.
  • Overall responsibility for meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets – focusing on developing relationships directly with major brands.
  • Develop and present persuasive presentations that creatively and distinctly differentiate and communicate unique assets to targeted prospects
  • Provide thought leadership identifying and analyzing key accounts for aggressive prospecting and dramatic growth, utilizing qualitative and effective Client Development strategies
  • Leverage all available team capabilities and resources – from Product, Content, Client Services and Marketing -- developing client pitches and proposals, working collaboratively with the Client Services and Platform organizations
  • Dynamically adapt sales pitches and proposals based on specifically identified client interests and preferences
  • Develop creative partnerships and sponsorships with stakeholders
  • Focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with important decision makers at client marketing companies and their respective advertising agencies in a variety of business categories Structure, price, successfully negotiate and close deals that will keep you performing to expectations in tracking to your budget
  • Oversee sponsor contracts, invoicing, and accounts receivable or develop processes to ensure execution and collections


    Required Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales and marketing, specifically for live music events and festivals
  • Demonstrated track record developing and maintaining relationships with multiple divisions and company leaders to ensure appropriate communications and a coordinated approach to maximizing successes with clients
  • Proven success to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Strong creative sales strategist
  • Demonstrated capability of self-direction and motivation
  • BA / BS degree is required
