The Event & Sports Marketing Coordinator coordinates the activation of motorsports and event marketing programs, as well as maintains motorsports social and digital media presence. They will assist the Event Marketing Manager to coordinate all aspects of our event marketing schedule, support our event marketing specialists and evaluate potential sponsorship opportunities.
Internal coordination of events and event activation.
Develop point of sale materials and retail traffic drivers / coupons.
Coordinate all event arrangements with promoters and stores.
Distribute materials and issue instructions to the field.
Maintain and update the Motorsports pages on OReillyAuto.com.
Assist with activation around the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 and other Motorsports entitlements.
Track and report all activation and impression numbers from the race.
Assist with contract approval process and invoice processing on an as needed basis.
Evaluate local sponsorship opportunities.
Evaluate trophy order sponsorships.
Coordinate the handling and shipping of supplies from the warehouse to promoters/events.
Coordinate the "Car Show in a Box" program.
Provide phone coverage for the event marketing team and support other areas as necessary.
Assist with special projects as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Excellent written verbal and communication skills.
Solid organizational skills.
Comfortable in TEAM-oriented work environment.
Proficiency with MS Power Point, Excel, and Word.
Must be able to lift packages up to 40 lbs.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or business.
Advertising or marketing job related experience.
O'Reilly Auto Parts store experience or equivalent knowledge of store procedures.
Motorsports marketing/event activation experience.
