As the Partnerships Manager, you will be an important contributor to the broader Evil Geniuses team, and within the Corporate Partnership team, you will be vital to successfully delivering the ambitions of our corporate partners. As an extension of our clients, understanding the pulse of their business and the nuances of their campaigns, and bridging that to our teams and fans to drive value is critically important.


Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, you person must thrive in the fast paced, ever changing ecosystem of esports. A start-up, boots-on-the-ground, and precise detail-oriented mindset is key, with the drive to deliver the best client experience in sports and entertainment.


Responsibilities:

  • Become a strategic extension of the partner by understanding their objectives, ambitions, brand voice and their overall business and utilize that knowledge to ensure that the contract commitments are fulfilled
  • Understand Evil Geniuses’ strategic plans and goals, as well as tone and sentiment of audience and talent to be a proactive bridge in recommending paths of high mutual value
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Familiar with contract deliverables in a contract, the language, and the interpretation of the deliverables language in order to activate precisely.
  • Diligently, professionally and precisely own/execute/activate the components of each contract in a timely manner and track fulfillment against deliverables
  • Strong communicator with experience working with and integrating multiple disciplines including PR, digital and social media, content development, data, and analytics
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and align with the various Evil Geniuses business units to execute the elements and campaigns within each contract
  • Foster and deepen strong relationships with the primary client and relevant business leads within the client organization, including updating and maintaining relevant customer data in the CRM
  • Experience in conflict resolution and strong compromise solutioning to find areas of mutual benefit to manage through potential client needs and interests within Evil Geniuses
  • Identify incremental opportunities based upon Evil Geniuses platforms and client strategic priorities and have an eye towards securing additional revenue
  • Work with broader team to ensure that partnership is in a healthy position for renewal
  • Comfort with data analysis and converting data into actions that drive results
  • Reliable execution research projects on the industry, trends and insights


    Required Skills

  • Ideal of three (3) to five (5) years’ work experience in Sports Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Partner Activation, Media Agency or Business Development
  • Embrace the department culture that seeks empowered individuals, proactive thought leaders, diligent executors
  • Proven experience with sponsorship activation; ability to lead, manage an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadline pressures
  • A starter and a finisher: Ability to drive projects and deliverables through to completion
  • Proven prior experience with sponsorship activation including managing, renewing, and up-selling major accounts
  • Comfort with storytelling through presentations, meetings and typical business communication
  • Possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to manage broad portfolio of projects, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and organizations
  • Compassion, empathy, and ability to actively listen to spoken and unspoken cues
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
