This position is responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term strategies to increase brand awareness. The person in this role will lead and manage the marketing team, including creative design and digital creative. The Director Sports Marketing will be responsible for planning, budgeting and execution of all marketing for Golf and Tennis. This includes managing the day-to-day brand, consumer, trade & grassroots marketing and advertising for the brand as it relates to the overall Golf and Tennis business. This position also has top-line managerial responsibility for Sports Marketing.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop brand marketing budget
  • Create and execute marketing plans
  • Develop and maintain integrated creative programs
  • Develop and implement media plans and placement including price negotiation as appropriate
  • Direct creative development. (advertising, POP, trade show booth, web, etc)
  • Identify, negotiate and contract brand appropriate organizational sponsorships
  • Receive, review, approve, submit and track all marketing related invoices through accounts payable
  • Manage all aspects of trade show; space planning, placement, sponsorships, booth construction and creative, logistics, set-up and dismantle, staffing, travel
  • Respond to internal and external client requests
  • Work with sales to develop and execute retail specific marketing program
  • Interface with design teams to align product and brand message
  • Work closely with Sports Brand Manager on development of marketing plans
  • Review all sports collateral

  • Intimate golf and tennis knowledge and relationships
  • Budgeting skills and fiscal responsibility
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project simultaneously
  • Ability to set and meet stringent deadline requirements
  • Self-motivation and direction and time management
  • Strong language skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and collaborate with colleagues
  • Proficient in the following computer/software programs: Microsoft
  • Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office)


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years management experience in marketing or advertising fields
  • Golf or Sports industry experience required
  • Strong communication skills required
