The Amazon Alexa industry + developer marketing team is seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Manager to lead the Sponsorship Marketing Program across Alexa events. In this role, you will lead the sponsorship program for all events and will set the pace for sponsorship strategy and overall program success, developing high value sponsorships and engaging ways to incorporate sponsors, in effort to enhance the experience for customers/attendees at Amazon Alexa events. You will own all elements of the sponsorship operating model and program including: strategy, content, prospectus, demand generation, communications, sponsor enablement, sponsorship activation/execution, and reporting and metrics. The ideal candidate has led a robust sponsorship program, built and owned a sponsorship revenue goal, be able to construct a compelling and clearly positioned portfolio of sponsorship opportunities, set and exceed sponsorship revenue goals and create a high efficiency marketing program. This candidate must be strategic, able to lead internal and external teams, flourish in an operational mindset, and understand how to execute effectively and flexibly.


Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep to understand the Amazon Alexa sponsor environment to develop relevant sponsorship opportunities to Amazon Alexa in ways that are meaningful for customers and sponsors.
  • Lead and collaborate with various groups within Amazon Alexa developer marketing, agency, and sales teams to identify sponsorship opportunities and coordinate the portfolio of benefits for sponsors.
  • Define and drive the sponsorship strategy for integrating sponsors and other third parties into Amazon Alexa events.
  • Set and exceed sponsorship revenue goals, targets and KPIs.
  • Design revenue model, contingency planning and own all financial reporting for assigned programs
  • Communicate sponsorship strategy to stakeholders to ensure adherence to best practices and consistent sponsor experience.
  • Develop sponsorship project plans including demand generation, communications, content delivery and scalable timelines.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and event agencies, helping with sponsor deliverables execution.
  • Build and maintain sponsorship program tools and processes to enable streamlined billing, contracting, communications, etc.
  • Identify net new opportunities for sponsorship and process improvements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors.
  • Manage budget, forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing, partner marketing, campaign marketing program management, sales and/or sponsorships


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background with technology industry or global consumer brand.
  • Proven track record of setting strategic pace, identifying next steps, bringing creative new ideas, and programs and growing program success.
  • Ability to simplify complex processes to create internal and external efficiencies.
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
  • Proven knowledge of industry tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Cvent, Splash, etc.
  • Demonstrable, successful history of defining marketing strategy and executional excellence.
  • Proven track record of continually advocating on behalf of your internal and external customers.
  • Decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams in different geographies and business units.
  • A strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives.
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization.
