As our Manager, NA Sports Marketing you'll lead Vibram's sports marketing strategy designed to support and drive VIBRAM 's position and business growth opportunities. You'll work with the VP of marketing as well as global marketing team, to manage, to create and lead the implementation of a sports marketing strategy to seek, sign, serve and leverage the best regional Athletes, Coaches, Teams in NA. You'll develop realistic budgets, update regularly, and work on upgrading budgeting/financial skills and discipline across the department. You'll work across VIBRAM 's business matrix focusing on marketing and product to drive the integration process of VIBRAM 's top endorsers. You'll provide real-time information and athlete insights to the rest of the Marketing & Product organizations to help build brand stories and create the best performance product on the market. You'll lead the people and keep the department energized, motivated and focused on a single vision. You'll select, educate, develop and coach the staff. Also, you'll create a positive environment that facilitates personal accountability and teamwork.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Build the U.S. Team Vibram from the ground up by connecting with, recruiting and signing elite-level athletes in the following disciplines: trail/ultra-running; climbing; cycling/mountain biking; and general outdoor (guidance to be provided).
  • Manage communication with the athletes on a consistent basis, helping them achieve their core responsibilities to the Vibram brand: Product testing & development; content generation (images, videos, training, education); brand representation at competitions, consumer events, clinics and while training
  • Interface with the Vibram product development and design teams to facilitate athlete feedback, learnings and test results
  • Interface with the Vibram digital team to understand content needs, and work with the athletes to generate the content needed to satisfy those needs
  • Work closely with the Italian head of Sports Marketing to replicate and adapt international processes and tools in the USA, while proposing and implementing region-specific tactics that are fitting for the U.S. market ("Think globally, act/build locally")
  • Assist NA VP in establishing and execution of department strategic plans.
  • Accountable for performance and results of all sports marketing related business.
  • All other duties as assigned.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Ideally 3+ years in sports marketing experience in a high profile, global brand organization
  • Extensive contacts, knowledge of and experience in sports and marketing and genuine passion for and deep knowledge of some or all of the following outdoors sports: trail/ultra-running; climbing; cycling/mountain biking; and general outdoor activities
  • Experience in participating in these sports, with a deep understanding of the vocabulary, language and codes specific to these outdoor activities
  • Passion or appreciation for sport products, gear and technologies required to excel at these sports
  • "Interest" in all kind of sports (even out of the Outdoors). Special plus if experienced in climbing or sports dealing with "verticality"
  • Ability to travel and spend several/many weekends a year working events and/or supporting the athletes at their competitions, events, clinics, photo/video shoots. Comfortable working in challenging Outdoor weather conditions (cold, snow, rain, hot, etc).
  • Organized, strong ability with planning events/projects and operating them, nd at taking notes, feedback and reviewing successes and opportunities to improve.
  • Good presentation skills (xls, ppt, etc), and understanding of social media (FB, YT, IG, etc)
  • Experience leading, developing, and scaling teams
