Manager of Events and Sponsorships will be in charge of negotiating sponsorship contracts with events, racers, athletes, teams, and spec racing organizations related to product, and will be required to manage an annual sponsorship budget. Main responsibilities include generating brand awareness though various sponsorships to support growth in Ultra High Performance (UHP) and Light Truck segment. Additionally, this role will focus on organic growth of the brand through new marketing campaigns and expand our foothold in off-road and UHP market.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep precise records of conversations with all clients, sponsors and exhibitors.
  • Professionally represent Yokohama at all times.
  • Participation on events and races as required.
  • Awareness of market developments and competition and report the findings to Management, Directors, and leaders.
  • Locate new sales opportunities with partners and collaborate with sales team for further development.
  • Research and develop a lost of potential sponsors, events, and partnerships for the next 3-5 years.


    Sponsorships/Competitions:

  • Develop and present creative sponsorship proposals to Management, Directors and leaders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsors.
  • Establish a permanent market presence through responsible sponsorships.
  • Manage and expand Team Yokohama (team of athletes, racers, and influencers).
  • Ensuring all sponsors are integrated and achieve their business objectives.
  • Present ROI on all sponsorships and prove effectiveness of sponsorships.
  • Generate sponsorships which can win on both UHP and off-road races.
  • Collaborate with Social Media team to manage content creation and content requirements.
  • Collaborate with Brand Communication team on dealer events and activities.


    Events:

  • Coordinate national/regional tradeshow/events, including floor plan reservations, booth/display design, messaging, staffing, internal communications, giveaways, etc.
  • Collaborate with Brand Communication team on planning and implementation of regional sales tradeshows.
  • Oversee promotional campaigns related to events and/or sponsorships.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Yokohama’s agencies and event vendors.
  • Support department events as necessary with attendance and/or material creation
  • Manage event/project budgets.


    Partnerships:

  • Develop and present creative partnership proposals to Managers, Directors, and leaders.
  • Manage and expand current partnerships.
  • Establish an excellent partnership for joint advertising to reduce total advertising cost.
  • Ensure all partners are integrated and achieve their business objectives.

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing preferred.
  • 6 years of sponsorship experience in automotive industry, specifically in off-road area required.


    Others:

  • Valid US driving license
  • Passion for off-road racing
  • 70%+ travel including weekends
