Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day business and basketball operations of the Connecticut Sun and other sports teams.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Oversees marketing, advertising, budgeting and sales for all Mohegan Sun owned and partnered sports teams
Responsible for administrative support on player contracts, negotiations, trades, etc., and P&L responsibility for all franchises
Responsible for the hiring of all business, basketball and lacrosse operations staff
Oversees Sponsorship and Marketing initiatives for all Mohegan Sun owned or partnership teams
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in talent evaluation and trade opportunities, as required
Develops partnerships and creates opportunities with civic, corporate and media partners on a local and national level
Prepares the annual budgets and forecasts for the Connecticut Sun, and Lacrosse
Initiates and directs integration and leveraging property assets to achieve strategic partnerships

Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements:
Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Training courses
Mohegan Sun CER and purchasing procedures
Knowledge of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Office work environment
Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
Must be able to travel with and on behalf of the team
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Sports, Business, Marketing or a related field
Four years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager with a minor or major league professional sports team
Previous experience dealing with a professional coaching staff
In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, eight years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager with a minor or major league professional sports team may be considered
