As the Sr Global Sponsorship & Events Manager, you’ll manage global sponsorship strategy and initiatives. Collaborate and consult with business partners to develop consistent experience strategies and apply integrated marketing messaging to sponsorships, conferences, meetings and events. You’ll evaluate sponsorship proposals and contracts to ensure they’re providing maximum potential and meet brand and strategy guidelines.


Other types of things you’ll do:

  • Responsible for managing and executing on our global sponsorship and event experience strategy, including strategy development, planning, execution and measurement. Provide consultation to business partners and Principal Foundation on incorporating event experience strategies into their integrated marketing plans ensuring consistent brand experience throughout all initiatives.
  • Manage global and local sponsorship contract negotiations, proposals, evaluations and renewals to ensure they’re meeting business objectives and delivering maximum brand awareness.
  • Responsible for Global Sponsorship budget management.
  • Provide leadership as a critical team member, working cross-functionally with colleagues on event / conference strategy, concepting, event operations, sponsorship activation, audience development, and execution of growing portfolio of virtual and hybrid events, combining in-person and digital attendance options.
  • Partner with product marketing content marketing and creative services teams to own the execution of event programs from creating and running the development of agendas, registration pages, promotional invites, landing pages, program content and follow up.
  • Activations will help sales teams gain new accounts and accelerate pipeline opportunities along with helping meet client retention goals.
  • Move easily between generating big, creative ideas to driving process improvement, to executing event details and administration.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience. 8+ years is preferred. (Previous Marketing Strategy experience with events and/or sponsorship.)
  • Experience working in asset management is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with and influence executive leadership.
  • Excellent customer service, strategic thinking, project management, organizational, negotiation, and decision-making skills are required.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to take an integrated communications approach to solve complex communications issues required.
  • Strong knowledge of sponsorships and event marketing needed
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Must have knowledge of, and understand all corporate functions including the company’s distributions systems, products/services and business unit goals.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain high degree of accuracy and pay strict attention to detail.
  • Business unit and company product knowledge needed
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM/Marketing Cloud or other marketing technologies.
