The Director, Media & Sponsorships will lead the communications planning function as to where, when and how our stories will appear. They will drive the overall approach to media execution across all touchpoints. In addition, the candidate will focus on overall media and investment strategy, as well as elevating our media planning function. This individual will work collaboratively with other departmental leaders – such as sales - to build out operational standards for the media practice across paid, owned, partners and earned. This role will drive thought leadership on campaign strategies, audience segmentation, data driven media plans, and will apply industry-leading technologies to deliver optimal program performance. The Sr, Director of media and partnerships will be responsible for our social presence including editorial approach, content development, and distribution strategy.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of communications planning practice across the organization
  • Define media strategy & and investment approach across categories and globe
  • Author the approach and manage partnerships, sponsors and influencers to maximize the exposure, authenticity and influence of the Bose brand
  • Develop consumer journeys, and choreographed media plans for integrated marketing plans
  • Plan & optimize always on media and individual campaigns
  • Develop partnerships and co-marketing efforts to deliver against marketing objectives
  • Manage media agency, production companies, and specialty shops
  • Define editorial, content & programming strategy
  • Lead content newsroom as Editor-in-Chief
  • Drive fast flywheel content development & distribution, incl partners, social influencer
  • Oversee sports marketing assets to ensure we are maximizing our investments
  • Leading the Community management efforts
  • Overseeing full-funnel marketing investment including performance media
  • Responsible for optimization and analytics of all investments including third party spends
  • Provides consumer insights to the rest of the organization through analytics, and social listening
  • Manage Cause & Charitable (following brand strategy)
  • Drive Social commerce and ensure revenue targets are met
  • Set strategy for new customer modeling, targets, timing
  • Drive performance media to improve discoverability & conversion
