The Associate Manager, Lifestyle & Experiential Marketing, will support in the planning and development of sponsorship and partnership platforms for brands within the CBI Beer, Wine and Spirits portfolio. They will support the Director, Lifestyle & Experiential Marketing on the sell-in and negotiation of partnerships based on the strategic frameworks and lead the management and execution of our national platforms. The position will be relied upon to ensure cross-functional planning – including Brand, Field Marketing, Trade Marketing, PR, Media and other key stakeholders – is executed seamlessly. This will require a focus on long-term thinking and establishment of best-in-class programming, while managing the activation of our national programs and execution with our agency partners.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Brand teams and Director of L&E in the development and implementation of short and long-term marketing platform objectives and strategies for our existing Beer, Wine and Spirt brands along with new-to-world Innovation brands.
  • Acts as a thought leader building strategic brand partners, leveraging various touchpoints such as retail, activation, agency resources, brand assets, branded build-outs, assets, etc.
  • Lead the development of activation planning, organization, and execution of our national Lifestyle & Experiential activations (sports, music, talent, entertainment) to align with brand and program objectives.
  • Drives activation consistency, efficiencies and is the centralized support mechanism across CBI Lifestyle & Experiential programs and activations.
  • One stop resource for Corporate Sales and Marketing in regards to all relationships with professional sports leagues, celebrity and influencer talent, , and other strategic partners, large scale music and sports venues and major properties.
  • Lead on collaboration between Brand, Media, Retail, Field and other Marketing teams, identifying needs, opportunities and creating/formalizing processes to maximize sponsorship programming, ensuring local efforts are aligned with brand positioning.
  • Work with agencies to provide monitoring, recaps and evaluations of respective programming to ensure that objectives have been met and provide regular reports to Director and relevant cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Support Director in development of measurement, evaluation and valuation models across all current and potential partnerships – nationally, locally and across platform.


    Required Skills

  • 3+ years progressive experience in sponsorships, promotional marketing, brand marketing, retail marketing, or relevant agency experience, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry; understanding the three-tier system is a benefit.
  • Experience in multicultural marketing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study.
  • Experience working with budgets and ability to clearly communicate forecasts, updates and budget status reports.
  • Ability to take direction on brand strategy and positioning and translate that into executional elements.
  • Proven success working in a cross functional team environment and assisting in processes with results across multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to work independently, identify opportunities and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all mediums (written, oral, presentation) with a high proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Must possess a solutions-oriented approach that anticipates stakeholder needs and proactively addresses issues.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and critical timelines.
  • Must have strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload. Must be detail- and results-oriented.
  • The ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary, as requested by Director.
  • Experience dealing with sponsorship talent is a plus but not required.


    Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Sports Marketing or Business is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not mandatory.
