The DTC Consumer Products team is looking for a passionate individual to focus on the ads and sponsorship product vertical. The ideal candidate will help implement a near and long-term roadmap to drive revenue growth and innovation for the NBA's global DTC and advertising business. The ideal candidate will help deliver on the vision for the future of the advertising and sponsorship experience and work with a world-class team of designers and engineers to develop features that meet fan needs. We are looking for someone who can leverage data insights, has a bias for action, and can help build an excellent product development culture.
Major Responsibility:
Support Product Managers through end-to-end feature development from ideation, to definition, development, measurement, and iteration, focused on advertising and sponsorship initiatives across platforms
Partner with cross-functional teams and Product Lead for Advertising and Sponsorship vertical to create feature specifications such as epics, features, user stories, as well as low-fidelity wireframes
Help provide UX direction to design team and collaborate with multiple Engineering teams to refine requirements, user stories and implement creative ad product solutions
Help lead product backlog grooming and prioritization sessions, helping to convey user needs, established priorities and business objectives to Engineering counterparts
Communicate requirements across key internal and external teammates, and partner with product marketing, analytics, operations, and others to continuously prioritize business needs
Help define success metrics, implement analytics requirements, analyze data, and suggest feature development based on performance analysis of user behavior
Contribute to strategy and product prioritization sessions, and help prepare presentation materials
Conduct competitive analysis of industry-leading ad experiences and consumer products to enhance the NBA's product offerings and advertising/sponsorship solutions
Analyze product analytics insights and consumer research, and help formulate hypotheses for product solutions while ensuring features are appropriately implemented with analytics
2 years in digital product development or digital project management
Understanding of and preferably experience implementing advertising solutions on mobile and web experiences
Experience with multiple product development methodologies and cross-functional project management skills
Technical competence and ability to adapt to new technologies
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple sub-projects at once
Experience using JIRA, ADO, and other product and project management tools
Excellent communication (written and presentation) skills at all levels of the organization A passion for fandom, knowledge of basketball and sports a big plus
