The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for a wide-range of marketing projects. This role requires a combination of solid relationship building skills, tech-savviness, excellent communication capabilities and outstanding project management skills. Key projects will include a range of digital marketing communications (email campaigns, webinars, eLearning), working collaboratively internally as well as with customers and suppliers, and managing high profile efforts that require attention to detail (e.g. fundraising for customer events).

Position Responsibilities

  • Support customer marketing efforts, including: Implement scheduled and ad-hoc communication projects (newsletters, webpages, brochures, webinars, email campaigns, eLearning, etc.) that help educate customers on Avendra’s value proposition and position Avendra as an expert.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing VPs and Contract Owners to understand value and help generate awareness and grow spend in specific categories and supplier programs. Tactics could include webpages, brochures, surveys, articles/expertise content, etc.
  • Be a “content generator” to help deliver high-quality content to Avendra’s key audiences that helps inform, educate and drive action.
  • Take complex ideas and communicate them in a simple and elegant manner to a defined audience across a wide range of vehicles in long and short form – ensuring content and presentation are accurate and error free.
  • Onboard and train suppliers on the marketing tools and opportunities available to help grow their business. This involves identifying and training key contacts, sharing and updating training materials, conducting webinars, building microsites, and providing best practices.
  • Leverage technology solutions to deliver communications: Email Service Provider/Marketing Automation solution, CRM/eRM solution, event management software, reporting tools, etc.
  • Project manage the sponsorship/fundraising effort for Avendra’s key clients. Work directly with clients and account managers to support client events - ultimately, enabling beneficial exposure for Avendra suppliers to key decision makers. Tasks include:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers in order to solicit suppliers for funds to sponsor key client events (e.g. via event management software, emails, phone, etc.)
  • Track sponsorship funds raised and ensure all internal records are up-to-date, and provide updates to clients on sponsorship requests, event progress and follow-up
  • Develop annual events calendar to share with suppliers and provide guidance on sponsorship best practices
  • Attend customer events (as needed) to help with supplier management and to represent Avendra’s business efforts/brand
  • Ensure the continuing development of Avendra’s Sponsorship efforts, including standardized talking points, selling documents, and process improvements
  • Suggest new ideas that improve the marketing/sponsorships area or address broader business objectives.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Good technical skills with the ability to grasp new technology systems easily
  • Prior project management experience. Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
  • Experience with presenting to small groups, including senior managers
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, including a record of successful relationships ranging from junior to senior management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Results-oriented with strong ability to meet deadlines, even if presented obstacles
  • Ability to speak/write/proofread in French or Spanish, desired
