We are looking for a passionate marketer to build and lead the activation strategy, hospitality, operations and talent management team for Salesforce’s partnerships with LA28, Team USA, select international National Olympic Committees (NOC) and other sporting partnerships. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing activation and hospitality plans that align to Salesforce’s business objectives and deliver strong return on investment. This is a hands-on role that demands speed, top-quality work, a willingness to relentlessly prioritize, and the creativity to try new things. Experience working within the Olympic and Paralympic movement and in sports marketing is a plus.


RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT

  • Create cohesive activation and hospitality strategy that maximizes Salesforce’s sports sponsorship rights and aligns to business objectives. Collaborate with Salesforce Strategic Events, Exec Programs, and Field Marketing teams to drive alignment across all teams activating sponsorships rights.
  • Oversee hospitality & operations functions for Salesforce as part of the Olympic and Paralympic movement including but not limited to event activations, hotel management, transportation, and ticket management.
  • Manage Salesforce’s sports strategy and hospitality agency partner(s).
  • Oversee sports marketing athlete strategy and execution including contracting, communications, and logistics.
  • Create and drive Salesforce giving back strategy around sports sponsorships.
  • Manage sports sponsorships merchandise collection and online stores.
  • Scale team to meet the needs of 7-year activation cycle with multiple resource peaks leading up to LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
  • Manage complex budgets.

    Required Skills

  • 12+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to creative strategic activation plans across multiple teams that map to business objectives.
  • Hospitality & operations pro with experience managing large, complex activations.
  • Keen attention to detail and foresight to prepare for all outcomes, coupled with the ability to problem solve under pressure.
  • Dynamic, confident personality with experience driving coordinated execution across large teams comprised of internal full time employees, contractors, and agency partners.
  • Strong skills in communication, writing, and the ability to work well cross-functionally.
  • Exceptional teammate with proven ability to lead through influence.
  • Consistent track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and interpersonal skills to lead multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
  • Experience building and developing teams.
  • Willing to travel within the United States and globally.
  • Advanced Google Slides skills a plus.
  • Experience working within the Olympic and Paralympic movement and in sports marketing is a plus.
