Supporting the Senior Director and Director, the Manager will be part of the Global Client Integration team within Global Sponsorship Strategy, with the possibility of additional special projects across global and regional sponsorship teams. This position will expose the selected individual to all facets of Visa Sponsorships and is a great opportunity to learn how we use these platforms to drive business results.


Serving as a core function within the Global Sponsorship Strategy Team, Client Integration drives global activation of Visa’s Global Sponsorships for our overall client ecosystem, including issuers, fintechs, merchants, and strategic partners, to build Visa’s business and deepen our client/partner relationships.


This position will work with a varied group of stakeholders across Global, Regional (Hub) and Local Marketing teams. Key relationships include regional sponsorship leads, client marketing (hub/local markets), global sales/biz development teams, global brand and brand experience, product, communications, and innovation teams. Building relationships with these key contacts will be critical to the success of this role and will provide exposure to a broad range of integrated business units within the company.


The core function of the Global Client Integration team is to provide consultative services and support to the regions/hubs/markets to drive the highest levels of client activation and investment. The team serves as a global resource for regional teams who support the direct relationships with clients in their markets, focused on the following key areas:

  • Center of Excellence for Sponsorship Client Marketing Activation: provide expertise on rights activation (pass-through) across the Visa client network, providing consulting and marketing recommendations for both Visa client-facing teams and Visa clients around the globe.
  • Development/maintenance of resources & materials that support client sponsorship engagement throughout the entire sell-in & activation cycle – including, but not limited to, sell-in decks, activation concepts, creative playbooks, case studies and comprehensive recap libraries.
  • Centralized Visa Asset Resource/Management: own/manage asset allocation for Visa’s global sponsorship across our 5 regions; drive development of new assets for client use.
  • Drive development & implementation of global client KPIs, including target investment, for all Visa global properties.
  • Support the growth & diversification of Visa’s sponsorship portfolio for clients.


    Key Responsibilities


    The Manager, Global Sponsorship Strategy, Client Integration will be responsible for the following specific activities:


    Client Integration & Activation Support:

  • Support annual/ongoing sponsorship activation planning and execution for Global clients in partnership with Regional marketing leads; partner with global stakeholders to provide content for client-facing presentations, with specific support for critical client engagements.
  • Manage/support workstreams to develop & deliver client sell-in materials for select Global properties & events; partner with brand team to ensure Visa Global campaigns support client needs with primary focus on Olympic & Paralympic Games and NFL International.
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to identify new/expanded activation opportunities and assets for clients across all Global sponsorships with the goal to diversify client activations through virtual, local, and live platforms.
  • Support growth of activation with expanding client segments, key product priorities and new payment flows. Become SME for select targets to help inform Global CI team and drive activation in new areas.
  • Own and manage client activation & investment tracking and reporting function for globally-managed properties (Olympics, FIFA, NFL): manage tracking tools and drive updates with regional teams; develop and deliver custom reports as needed.
  • Manage global client integration updates/reporting for assigned global taskforces and executive briefings.
  • Manage regional asset allocation by property/event as assigned; maintain asset inventory tracking and reporting; recap event asset usage with key learnings & recommendations for improvements/future use.
  • Partner with Regions to develop Client Activation recaps, new case studies and best practices updates after each global event with eye towards future events/engagement.
  • Support regional sponsorships & cross-property opportunities to drive additional activation with regional & local sponsorship properties (e.g. UEFA Women’s, AFCON).
  • Support sales/marketing teams on RFPs to ensure sponsorships provide high value opportunities for prospective & existing clients.


    Internal Global Client Integration - Team Operations:

  • Own and maintain library of support materials for use by client-facing teams.
  • Manage document libraries & shared sites for CI team, including Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Visa Brand Asset Management (VBAM).
  • Manage support of agency team members on global property tracking & reporting, activation update documents, event recaps, VBAM uploads/management of files and ad-hoc projects as requested.
  • Support development and manage the delivery of global client integration communication plan/calendar, including, but not limited to, newsletters, client activation spotlights, property-specific activation digests and more.
  • Assist with scheduling, agendas and running weekly & monthly global and regional team meetings.
  • Open PO’s, manage vendor billing and financials for select projects.
  • Manage inventory/ordering for global client integration premiums, sell-in support materials.


    Global Sponsorship Management: Strategy + Planning support

  • Support annual operations planning (AOP) process for Global CI team.
  • Maintain/update portfolio overview and events calendar in partnership with Agency across all Global and Regional properties; support maintenance of sponsorship web pages specific to client content (Visa.com, Insite, other).
  • Manage executive sponsorship updates as needed in partnership with Sr. Director & Director.
  • Partner with Research & Insights team on Sponsorship Measurement, Dashboards and special projects.
  • Partner with Regional sponsorship teams to explore and evaluate new sponsorship opportunities.
  • Provide support on key projects as needed with property management teams (e.g. NFL). Responsibilities may include asset usage recaps for the Property, meeting/presentation prep and delivery and other projects at the direction of the property leads.


    Required Skills

  • 5 or more years of relevant work with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Relevant experience across marketing disciplines, including digital, social and experiential; experience working with external clients/3rd party partners; sports marketing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global environment – may require early AM and late PM calls due to multiple time zones; provide customized deliverables per hub or market-specific needs
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written. Attention to detail + big-picture thinking equally important.
  • Strong/advanced skills with PPT & Excel; must be able to create high-quality presentations and effectively manage or build investment and activation tracking models.
  • Strong quantitative skills; position requires work with data & financials. Partner with key stakeholders on special projects to develop improved tracking & reporting with new and/or existing tools.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, Teams, Sharepoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%: some local/US & international travel may be required, including extended stays during Visa Global Events (e.g. Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup).
