This person will direct and oversee Marketing for select initiatives and brands in Golf & Tennis. This role will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with Perry Ellis International business goals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Direct the strategic creation, development, communications and implementation of assigned Golf & Tennis brands within the marketing budget
  • Plan and recommend marketing strategies to achieve maximum market penetration with retail partners
  • Collaborate with Sales/Design/Graphics, as well as external resources to create an integrated marketing strategy for the brands
  • Participate in the development and implementation of collateral and marketing materials
  • Lead and manage the marketing department on: Retail Marketing, Public Relations and Event Marketing
  • Provide a consistent, fair and situational management style in order to maintain a cohesive department
  • Develop a marketing plan and budget for the brands
  • Develop consistent messaging to various constituents, including press, prospects and existing customers
  • Provide competitive/market research and analysis of market trends and opportunities for presentations.
  • Orchestrate the marketing launch process and manage every component including PR, advertising from implementation to execution
  • Develop, drive, and execute comprehensive marketing programs, including visual directives, sales tools, collateral, newsletter input, advertising, invitations, trade shows, seminars, conferences, and websites for communicating consistent messages externally
  • Develop all marketing department standards, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and partner with the marketing department in the UK on global brand strategies.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May recruits, interviews, hires, motivates and evaluates direct reports. Builds, leads, develops, and mentors the marketing team in its growth and development in both creative and managerial roles.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field; MA/MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of proven work experience as a Marketing Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in sports marketing background a must
  • Be a sports enthusiast
