The Marketing Associate position, located in Nashville, TN, is responsible for supporting events and sponsorship related marketing initiatives in both B2B and B2C applications.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manages events calendar and maintains day to day tasks related to sponsorship operational management (internal communications, updates, etc.) to ensure that all assets due to Hankook are used in the proper way, Brand exposure is maximized, and that the sales team and other stakeholders are well informed of opportunities available to them.
  • Plays an integral role in managing internal ROI tracking related to customer activation and sales team participation in proper activation of Hankook’s considerable investments in brand related sponsorship.
  • Key relationships include MLB and Dealer conferences that must be managed expertly. For these activities, position holder will report directly to the President in addition to Brand Comms Manager. Maintains budget schedule for these activities and works with marketing operations associate to ensure payments and associate documents are submitted on schedule.
  • Utilizes marketing budget and job estimate to obtain pre-approval for all marketing service and merchandise orders related to events and sponsorship
  • Works with Brand Comms associate and Visual Comms specialist to ensure that proper branding and language is used in all outward facing applications
  • Supports internal events functions as needed.
  • Manages all direct contact with outside vendors for event related service, including quoting process.
  • Works with Brand Comms specialist and Marketing Operations associate to ensure proper communications to field sales team and internal stakeholders.
  • Travels to events and manages on-site needs and execution. Acts as a problem solver with the ability to always be “on” when needed for such activities.
  • Manages event planning and reporting internally as needed by management team.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree required
  • A bachelor's degree relevant to Marketing preferred
  • 4 years of events based marketing experience required, including some off-site event management
  • Experience successfully managing projects required
  • Must be comfortable with travel and be willing to work some weekend /evening hours as needed
  • Superior organizational & planning skills required
  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft software programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word) required
  • Must possess the ability to deal with VIPs with considerable care – including top decision makers in the industry and key account holder
