Responsible for the overall management of Ariat’s western athlete sponsorships. Develops and nurtures relationships with athletes and agents to fully leverage and maximize Ariat’s portfolio of western athletes across the marketing mix. Works closely with social media team to develop fun athlete content and celebrate wins.
Job Responsibilities:
Talent identification – work with your direct team to identify new talent, amazing personalities, and opportunities that fit the Ariat brand and ensure the best, most appropriate talent is on the team.
Responsible for the overall management of Ariat’s western athlete sponsorships
Negotiates western athlete agreements and contracts
Set up each new athlete with tools for success and perfectly aligned expectations of what it mean to be a Ariat Athlete.
Work with social team to leverage western athletes and create custom social content
Work with brand team to integrate athlete stories in seasonal campaigns
Work with product team to seed key seasonal products to athletes and capture product feedback
Forecasts and manages western sponsorship and athlete product budget
Oversees western athlete product orders
Reviews athlete sponsorship proposals, recommends athlete partnerships
Maintain database of athlete contracts, information, monitor renewal dates, and oversee payments
Coordinates athlete appearances for retailers, brand shops, and others as needed
Reports out athlete success and digital metrics as available
Manages western athlete marketing materials
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing or combination of relevant education, experience and training
4+ years’ experience in Sports Marketing, Event Marketing, Brand Marketing or Comms: helping to build, collaborate and drive Ariat strategies
Experience with high profile athletes/teams/agents in a professional environment is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including: meeting facilitation and presentation (Mac Keynote, PowerPoint), Excel and MS Office experience
Proficient in project management, leveraging tools such as Workfront, and Excel
Understanding of ariat athletes and the western landscape
Proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of cross functional partners including brand marketing, social media, creative, sales and product management
Passionate about the western lifestyle. Western competition or event experience is a plus
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Ability to manage, plan and report against fiscal budgets
Highly organized and attention to detail
Comfortable presenting to an audience
