Leading all AIG Life & Retirement (L&R) sponsorship programs, including the organization’s flagship sponsorship with the PGA of America, and external partnerships, including brand and media agency relationships.
Developing and executing end-to-end, cross-company strategic leverage plans for existing and prospective partnerships, driving business integration and development across L&R business and Marketing teams.
Overseeing all sponsorship-related activation and hospitality programs and managing agency and external resources for execution of programs.
Managing media strategy, planning and reporting related to brand awareness and reputation building through paid media channels. Including development, oversight and analysis of reporting, metrics and overall ROI of brand and advertising campaigns and sponsorship programs.
Partnering with internal colleagues to educate, support, manage and report on the ROI of sponsorship programs and brand campaigns.

Engage with senior leadership and colleagues as a Center of Excellence expert in sponsorship relationships, negotiations, activation and measurement.
Manage and foster critical relationships with key external sponsorship partners and executives to ensure AIG L&R is receiving and maximizing all benefits from the partnership.
Oversee development and execution of PGA Championship activation, the largest investment by L&R in a partner/client-facing engagement and brand-building event.
Drive awareness and enrollment in the PGA Golf Retirement Plus program, developing PGA Professional-specific C&E plans with business stakeholders that leverage sponsorship assets to grow participation.
Bring together sponsorship programs with CSR, PR and Thought Leadership for maximum impact and to build AIG L&R’s reputation in the market.
Oversee all partner and client hosting programs leveraging sponsorship assets that integrate brand and business messages.
Oversee media agency relationships.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Marketing Leadership Team, public relations, LOB business leaders, creative developers, event managers and Legal/Compliance partners.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, sustain and manage brand/communications strategies (positioning, creative strategies, communications planning, LOB marketing initiatives, campaign platforms, etc.) for fully integrated Sponsorship activation.
Budget management: for sponsorships, including rights fees, contractual media spend(s) and activation programming, as well as brand, advertising and media spend.
Contract and manage relationships with agencies, talent and other third parties
Evaluate, recommend, and negotiate/implement new sponsorship opportunities within or beyond professional golf.
Develop, manage and elevate metrics and reporting processes that evaluate impact of sponsorship programs and all brand, advertising and media campaigns. Synthesize data and develop narratives that elevate the impact story with stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
10+ years of experience within the sponsorship, branding, advertising, media, marketing, digital and communications field required, agency experience a plus.
10+ years of experience in highly specialized sponsorship management function; experience building and measuring brand campaigns.
Sponsorship negotiation and experiential marketing experience required.
Understanding of key professional golf properties such as the PGA of America, LPGA, Ryder Cup, and PGA TOUR required.
Excellent presentation, analytical and communications skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including diplomacy and ability to influence senior-level executives and colleagues, and navigate across a diverse and complex organization.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management/building skills, experience in client management and/or agency side is a plus.
Strategic mindset to integrate business and brand strategy into all communications, along with innovative and forward-looking outlook.
Demonstrated ability to execute large-scale sponsorship programs.
Program management and execution experience.
Proven track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Understanding of financial services highly preferred.
